One of the most enjoyable parts of travel is finding new restaurants to try. When visiting Cedar City, you’ll find a wide variety of chain restaurants, both fast food and more expensive dining. You can also find some great places to eat that are original to the area and have been popular with locals and visitors alike. If you are looking for something new to try, particularly something that was originated in the area, then you will want to try the following restaurants on your trip.

    Milt’s Stage Stop

Many travelers bypass Milt’s because they don’t know it’s in the area. It’s located approximately ten miles up Cedar Canyon, and it’s a great place to eat and get scenic mountain views. If you want a high-end steak, this is one of the finest dining experiences Cedar City has to offer. It’s been a Cedar City favorite for more than 60 years, being established all the way back in 1953. If steak, shrimp, and crab sound good, this is the right place to go in southern Utah.

    Rusty’s Ranch House

Rusty’s is a slightly less expensive option than Milt’s. It’s also been a Cedar City favorite for decades, and it’s also located up the canyon. It’s a bigger restaurant, and it’s great for hosting large parties. You’ll also find great steak, fish, and a wide variety of sides that taste like home-style cooking. The large restaurant windows and rustic décor make for a great eating environment. If BBQ ribs or delicious chicken sounds good tonight, then you’ll want to make the trip up to this hometown favorite.

It’s the only Japanese cuisine in town, and you’ll find some of the best sushi and steak you’ve ever had at this fun restaurant. Restaurant patrons love being able to see their food cooked right in front of them, as the grills are right in front of you. With a big menu, there’s something for everyone at the Ninja. The Pizza Cart

The Pizza Cart started out a few years ago as a food cart in a parking lot. With high demand for the pizza, the owners decided to open a brick and mortar location. At this relatively new Cedar City favorite, you can find several menu items under $10.00. Not only do they have great pizza, but you can get a salad and breadsticks for a reasonable price. It’s also over by the movie theater, just across the parking lot from the Ninja.
