There Are Numerous Historical Sites in St. George

Similar to Salt Lake City, St. George is known for its early pioneer history. Many of Utah’s earliest settlers came to St. George and established the area in the latter part of the 19th Century. One of the biggest and most notable landmarks in St. George, which is easily seen from most parts of the city is the famous Mormon Temple, which has a nice visitor’s center and beautiful grounds to see. If you are interested in the early settlers of Utah, St. George is a must for different historical sites and tours.

If you haven’t been to St. George yet, you will be mesmerized by the beautiful red rocks all around the city. Many of these formations have trails and hikes that people can use for free. In St. George there are plenty of places to find bargains on nice clothes. The Red Cliff’s mall has everything from JC Penny and Dillard’s to Kay Jewelers and Barnes and Noble. Just down the street from the Red Cliff’s Mall is a nice outlet mall, filled with inexpensive, nice clothing, accessories, and shoe stores. There are also dozens of local small businesses that sell nice clothes, accessories, and jewelry.

St. George is the area to go in Utah for sunny weather. When the rest of the State is dealing with snow and bad weather in the fall and winter, people come to southern Utah to enjoy nice scenery, golf, and shopping. If you’ve never been to St. George, it’s a great place to spend a vacation.
